Saying Thank You

"Silent gratitude isn't much use to anyone..." - Gladys Brown Stern
Sending a card to thank you is stil very much appreciated when received.  It is best to begin with the reason(s) you are sending the card.  More likely it will state - “Thank You” in some form on the front but it is needs to be specific.  Take example, if you have just spent the evening dining at your friend's home, by all means begin with acknowledging just that.  Mention what you enjoyed most – the company, food, hospitality, conversations, sharing or his / her grandmother’s recipe, etc. Expressed it by saying “…There is no greater pleasure than eating a great meal with such great company. Thank you for the lovely dinner…”].  If you brought the hostess a gift, casually mention it and say "...I hope you have enjoyed the bottle of wine...".  Well, the note does not have to be long.  However, it needs to be written (personalise factor) or printed / typed and sent off quickly preferably within a week.

Here are some general sayings to express one’s gratitude:
• Thank you very much
• I cannot thank you enough
• Thank you for just being you…
• I am forever in your debt, thank you
• Thank you for all you have given us
• My gratitude is endless
• Thank you from the bottom of my heart
• You have my sincerest thanks
• Thank you for your helping hand
• Please accept our most sincere thanks / gratitude
• Your well wishes are greatly appreciated
• Thank you from the bottom of my heart
• Eternally thankful for / to you
• Your generosity has made me speechless - thank you!
• Thank you for everything
...and the lists goes on...
